I'm no physiologist, so I can't speak to the validity of all the arguments, but it's an interesting read nonetheless.

Heartening? That depends.

Based on their calculations I'd need to put out 500W to match Nibali on a W/kg basis. Fortunately that little battle isn't likely to happen any time soon.

Or better yet, take him on over your ground. Maybe track? You should see the anti-climber Simonson go on the track. When are we going to talk about a club picnic there?
