Friday May 11th A ride

Post by Josh.E »

Good times, thanks for the ride this morning. Me and some other zebras (Jamie, Colin and Roland) jumped on at Ash.
I think that was the biggest A group I've ever seen in all my years of TS rides. Nice work everyone. Evan was looking particularly good this morning. He and Dylan had a small gap right after king george, and when we closed it down, he surged off the front again solo going up clover point. Classy riding.

It was super fantastic great awesome excellent times.

the way I saw it was that we had a big social group then we made the "mistake" of riding past a grazing herd of zebras milling about at the TOP of Ash rd. (cheeky that..) , that spooked them into a long waterfront stampede. I still don't know what happened along Beacon Hill but one must have gotten really scared leading inot the sprint as there was a big messy pile of zebra dung on the road as well. Then like the elusive creatures they are they drifted away. It was like seeing unicorns! (or that was Roland?)

To be fair to us, we tried to meet you right at the beginning of blenkinsop, but you guys must have started a bit late. It was far too cold to stop along there though so we kept on slowly pedalling along, expecting to see you. What was up with it being 3 degrees through there?
Finally after a leisurely climb up ash, we decided to wait.

You mean that was real? I thought the zebras I saw this morning were just hallucinations I was having due to the blistering pace. All I could see were black and white lines across my vision. There's no way that was real! When I regained conscientiousness at coffee the zebras weren't there. I'm pretty sure you were having the same hallucinations as I was Peter.

Zebras riding bikes? Ya right!

I much prefer spotting zebras at the top of Ash - if I'm hallucinating at the bottom of Ash (never mind Blenkinsop  ) I might not make it too much further!

I've heard the zebras have a secret watering hole at the Disco Oasis in the Coffee Dessert of Fishermans' Wharf... nice.

Thanks for a good ride and letting me in - just tell me what to do if I'm interfering with the pacelines as I'm usually in survival mode trying to keep up with the stampede!

Cheers, Jen
