Track Crank Length

Post by DavidB »

THIS IS NOT A DISCUSSION OF WHICH IS BETTER.

I'm wondering if anyone knows what the longest crank you can get away with at Burnaby is on a proper track bike. I know most people seem to run 165, but there's some 170's at great prices used, but I'm wondering if those will hit on the bankings. I'm not wondering which is better. At all.Just which will work.

Thanks,

David

As long as the bottom bracket height is a normal track height, which the argon should be. Ask emile, since he's not selling cranks, he doesn't have a conflict and should know the characteristics of his bike. I have 170's on my track bike, but I also specified that when I ordered it. If he doesn't know, ask him to measure and we can compare the height to my bike which doesn't hit.
