Wow was Tuesday fast

Post by Plawless »

So I had our average speed on the Ring at 36.0 and the whole ride average at 33.3. Way to go you bunch of fast savages! Not sure how this bodes for summer but - kudos!

I've decided to stick with the new training program - Drive to Starbucks for 7 am coffee on Sunday and sleep in on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

John,

I do not know if that is such a good idea. To help with your decision making I happen to have an Specialized Allez Elite ('05? 62cm frame) that is fully winterized and ready to go to a good home - I have spoken to the bike and let it know that it was the road not the rider that destroyed your last steed!

Let me know if you would like to try the bike...(If you do take the bike I will make sure that each tube is filled with shock absorbing lead weight to help you return to the peleton  )

Fast

At hearing that sort of speed, I am not sure whether to schedule more or less frequent Tuesday morning hospital meetings.

Roland, when Wednesday hills got difficult, they just formed a new group (the 'farm team', where sprints are just as serious as in any other ride, so I'm told). Maybe we should start a new Tuesday ride for the riding wounded.

Thanks for the offer Mike. 62 cm might be too big (a long way to fall  ), but after a few solitary/slow rides on my MTB, I'll be in touch. Helium - that's what you should put in the tires.

The "farm team" meets at 6:00 a.m. at St. Matthias Church, which is located at the corner of Richmond and Richardson. The pace is slower than the animal show on Tuesdays  A good recovery ride :D

Everyone welcome though the pace is more reasonable..........

Sorry for any part I played in that Roland. My only excuse was feeling good after several weeks of blahs. I'll try to contain it. :)
