2011 Argon 18 E114 TT bike w/ full Dura Ace (large) $3000

Post by leifb »

Argon 18's 2011 top model TT bike could be yours. Cared for obsessively. This bike was used from the beginning of April to midway through July--a mere 3.5 months!

This is the same bike that Team Spidertech rides, as well as some of the world's finest triathletes like Tim O’Donnell and Luke Bell.

The E114 is a stable and stiff bike that doesn't sacrifice comfort or weight. I'm a pro triathlete who, simply put, needs to liquidate some assets after training and racing without enough focus on financial stability. I will be extremely sad to see this bike go.

Size: Large (57-60)
Components: Dura-Ace
7050 Carbon Fiber
Mavic Askium training wheels (to be negotiated, if needed)

Best,
Leif

(some more details on the bike)
The E-114 is a model of integrated design. Apart from the fork , headset, brakes and seatpost, the frame comes with:
• The ONEness structural fairing, in two sizes for reach adjustment (XS/S: 6.5cm and M/L: 9cm).
• The AHB 5000 integrated handlebar, an Argon 18 exclusive, which includes the following components:
• Two sets of carbon tri-bar extensions, straight and S-bend.
• Carbon brake levers.
• Carbon arm rests.
• All necessary bolts and hardware for adjustment and assembly
Total weight of the bullhorn/tri bar/armrest combination is only 740g.

Aerodynamics
When Torbjorn Sindballe established a new record for the bike split at Kona, his average speed was just over 40kph. This is a realistic speed for aerodynamic bike testing in a wind tunnel, so our data is based on this speed. From the fork to the seat stays, every aspect of the E-114 is shaped to favor smooth airflow and reduce drag. At 40 kph, this translates to a 12% drag reduction in a headwind and an average reduction of 18% in crosswinds, compared to the E-80, twice ridden to World Triathlon Championships.

Specifications:
• Frame: 1425g (Medium size).
• Fork: 595g, (cut to fit Medium size frame).
• Seatpost: ***g, Argon 18 ASP 6000 carbon seat post, included.
• Bottom bracket: English type thread or BB30, using FSA threaded adaptor, not included, available from FSA
• Headset: FSA Orbit , 1’’-1/8 bearings, (36*/45*) 6.5 top cover, FSA TH-885 preload expander included
• Replaceable braze-on type front derailleur tab, compatible with compact cranksets
• Replaceable forged rear derailleur hanger
