Gran Fondo ( Whistler )

Post by Dave Spiers »

Does anyone know how to find a list of TripleShot riders that are signed up for the Gran Fondo.

It is going to be great to see a mass of TSC jerseys, baby blue or race kit? Any chance of having just one style on the road that day? (for the Gran Fondo). I have both but think the BB stands out more. Either way I don't mind but would like to hear what others are planning and will go with the flow.

Blue in the peloton. WAY easier to pick out fellow riders.

I have to agree with Simon. Baby Blue is so much easier to pick out in a crowd.

OK, I have left this WAY too late, but... anyone got space in their Whistler accommodation Saturday and are looking for someone to share the cost?

I will be there wearing black because that is what I have got, hoping to see a bunch of TSC folks up near the front of the 4 hour section to start.

I can wear either, but it looks like blue is winning.

Any chance we could convert Geoff?

See you all at the front of the 4 hour group? 5:45 AM? or...

and should we wear a "ditchable" sweatshirt or...?

and what level of tool kit would you recommend? Just tube & related gear, or the full kit with wheel truing stand, floor pump and frame alignment tools?

I'll be there, looking for the Baby Blues at around 6:10 or so - is that too late to fight through the hordes to the 4 hour section?. I'm planning on carrying a Camelbak style pak with a bit of foul weather gear, spare tire -and tubes, plural. I'm committed to doing the almost-immediate return run, subject to major mechanicals, hideous weather or injury, in which case my son is on standby to bring the car up to rescue me.

Anyone else riding back? And are any of you racers taking a break (I know, this is heresy) at the "gourmet" fuel stop on the way up?

Jeff,

I am in too, but I guess I am not signed in as a TS team member. Any idea if that can be changed? See you tomorrow (Sunday) am?

I am hoping to be in too (depending on how my calf heals) but did not sign in as TSC but will try to add that when I check in. Thanks to John, Bill, Brian, Rob and everyone else who stopped for me on Friday. Looks like a medial gastrocnemius strain, still a good chance I can ride. :) :)

Where is everyone staying, and is there any available space?

Andrew a good tape job is a wonderful thing

may be just what your tendon needs for support

JT and Dylan changes to the Team listing had to be done before Aug19

I am signed in but not as a TS "team member" that was limited to the first 9 or so

but still feeling like part of the group as long as there is coffee at the end of the weekly rides

Flounder there is an extra bed in Chris Fraser's room at the Accent Inn. If you talk to him real nice he might accommodate you.
