Hi. For those of us that cannot make it to the Cowichan ride on Sunday, is there any interest in doing a bit of mountain madness closer to town on Saturday? A few weeks back Josh took us out on a crazy ride up Munns, Finlayson Arm, up and over the Malahat, up Goldstream Heights and Ridge, then a nice little climb back up Finlayson Arm, back up Munns, north on Prospect Lake Road, once up the Observatory then finally to coffee and food!
We hold up at numerous locations to regroup. The quicker riders can come back down the hills at these locations and pick up us slower riders if they don't want to stand around.
This would make an excellent final long and hilly training ride if you cannot make the Cowichan ride and are planning on doing the Whistler Gran Fondo.
Anyone interested, lets meet at the Starbucks across from Mayfair on Douglas for a 6 AM start.
