One amusing moment from my race. I was gutting myself up a hill on the way back, thinking how I either needed to invest in a pair of white compression socks or a pair of black TS booties, when a vehicle passing by yelled at me that those socks were ILLEGAL!

I was about to yell "And who made you the style police!"

Fortunately I saw the black and white stripes in time. It was an official, the UCI made him the style police, and supposedly compression socks are illegal in TTs. Seriously, why hadn't a single official mentioned it at the start line?!?

I figured, best case I'd have to stop and take my shoes and socks off, worst case I'd be DQd, black listed from all other cycling events, and have my bike impounded at the finish line.

"Roll 'em down" he barked. I complied, relieved that I was able to continue.

Great shots Deb, and Bambino next time you should see if their is a guide as to what you can and can't wear. The compression socks are like your signature to. You see a cyclist a couple hundred metres away and they have compression socks on, you always know it will be Bambino! :)

congrats to  Tripleshot for organizing a super time trial. That really hurt. Super course, and am motivated to improve on it in the future.

Awesome race, killer course. Seriously it felt like the whole thing was down hill, on the way back I kept wondering why I didn't notice most of them :x . I loved every minute of it, the TTT was a great experience. Special thank to all those who put in volunteer time to make it all come together and function.

Loved the photos Deb, there are a bunch of great shots in there.
