Almost as good as Ryder's quote from last year: "If you draw your sword and you drop it. you die." Love that too!

Re: Ryder Wisdom
He's doing alright, alright. I don't think he got enough credit for his performance in the Tour this year. Despite getting seriously banged up crashing upside down at speed into a ditch, he recovered well and I think he was easily Garmin's strongest GC man at the end. He was always with Danielson in the finales even though he was doing extra work some days going off the front hunting for stage wins. That backs up his performance last year when he had that 4th place in the final epic mountain stage. I still think that was his best ride ever. It would be nice to see him get a GC chance in the Vuelta if he could recover in time, but I'd assume he'd be doing the Quebec pro races again.
I heard a great exchange between sports guy Rick Quintin and talkie Jon McComb yesterday morning on CKNW 980 radio. Quintin closed the sports report saying that Evans had won the Tour. McComb asked how could this guy sneak up and win the Tour when nobody had ever heard of him! Quintin said he won "the sprint" on Saturday and that was enough. McComb asked if he was sure this wasn't a Rosie Ruiz situation. It was all so staggeringly brain-dead.
