Grade 11 (12 in sept) student Evan Carey rode his first tt Tuesday. He has about 2 Tripleshot rides in his legs and maybe 15 Oak Bay high rides. Also a base of athletics training (mainly pole vault), though also a few injuries. The idea was to check out the tt.
Here he is looking aero on John Dower's TT bars.

Evan has had an ambitious beginning to his conversion to cycling. Last week he trained on the Duncan BC TT Champs course, Monday was the learn to ride the track including a flying 200 (didn't get a result yet, but it looked smooth and fast), and sore legs before the ride out to the tt. His time was a respectable 30:01. Riding home he felt the back to back workouts and we took it pretty easy.
His Dad, Doug and sister Rachel (13) are also joining TS. $5, free to juniors, impeccable timing and results.
TS regulars Steve Grandy and Jenn Erlendson also rode.
I rode out to watch, but legs not racing fit again yet. As soon as they are, I plan to ride. It's a nice ride out, and the course is quiet. More to join us?
