National TT Champs

Post by Plawless »

I will leave it to Adam to provide a report but it was a bastard of a course. Where the tech guide called for a max grade on 2 hills of 4% there were ramps at 12% and LOADS of hills. Anyway our man-child smoked it:

Junior Men, 21.5 km (Avg Speed 44.9 km/h) (62 starters)

1 Alex Cataford (Team Ontario)0:28:45
2 Nigel Ellsay (Cycling BC)0:29:08 0:22.77
3 Yohan Patry (Equipe du Quebec) 0:29:43 0:57.65
4 Simon-pierre Gauthier (Equipe du Quebec) 0:30:14 1:28.81
5 Emile Jean (Equipe du Quebec) 0:30:15 1:29.98
6 Benjamin Perry (Team Ontario) 0:30:20 1:35.04
7 Adam De Vos (Cycling BC) 0:30:35 1:49.70

Also a big shout out to local awesome rider Annie Ewart who stormed to her first National Championship by over a minute.

On the Para side Karen did great as expected (on the hardest course she has ever done). The overall winner (over all the handcycle classes) was my guy, Mark Ledo who took his second consecutive National TT Champs.

Looks like Adam did great in the Crit, 6th place in which by looking at the times was a bunch sprint
