Friday post-ride coffee observations

Post by John D »

A great Friday ride, as usual. What was even better was that no fewer than 37 people showed up for coffee afterward (I think it was more at one point)! Some other observations:

- Simon spinning with Dylan in the Moka House parking lot. Very cool.
- Injured warriors Lister and Jane showing up for coffee
- Jane supplying fresh Nanaimo bars (apparently baked with Glenowyn's help?)
- Riders ranging in age from 14 -70
- Two father/daughter and one father/son pairs on the ride
- At least six new riders out this week

Is this a great club or what?

I joined in the winter and liked it right away. Everyone is friendly and really inclusive today was a great example.

Thanks TS'ers

This was my third ride with TS and I'm absolutely addicted!
Now, get out to the beginner race deal at Western on Monday and then gotta get into some of the other rides... But the Friday ride is my favorite so far.

the Nanaimo Bars were a thank you for making you all lie and vote for me more than one time for the BC Bike Race. thanks for the support.

Glad the wounded warriors were out. I think Matt is doing the Ride to Conquor Cancer this Weekend. I hope it is an amazing ride with your amazing looking bike. I am waiting on back order for that bar end tape. Hope the weekend goes well for everyone

I set a new P.B. today at coffee. I didn't leave until 11:40. Not sure where the rest of you went.

Thanks, Glen! Whatever you use for the cream-coloured layer is insanely good. Nothing like mainlining sugar after a morning ride.

And I didn't "lie". Each of my personalities only voted once.

Be careful out there.
Arrived at Cook and Dallas just after Dick Palfrey was loaded into ambulance, taken out by another cyclist entering from Cook St.. Rui managed to bunny hop the trouble. Apparently it's all on video.

That's only 'cause you were drafting me and Simon!

Thanks for the input to coaching programs.
