File this one under community service, and helping out a gimp club mate:
Just chatting today with Marsha, the volunteer coordinator for Bike to Work Week Victoria, and she said Tripleshot was one of the main two reasons that the celebration stations went so well this year. (The other was that more of our suppliers like Starbucks, Cobs Bread and Booster Juice brought staff.)
Big thank you to Galen who did the pick up of equipment for the Commuter Challenge, Geoff Wong who did the drop off of fencing and vehicle shuffle, Peter who provided his truck for the fencing for same, Jim P who herded competitors, Jo and Liam who did set-up and flowers.
Quentin, Brenna, Alex, Eric, Mike A, Matt L., Greg M., Rolf, Glen, Mark F., John D, Gllen, +? were all out at celebration stations making commuter folks feel good with coffee, burgers, snacks and chances to win prizes, as well as with set-up and take-down chores. Thank you all very much.
I'm sure i have forgotten some. Some folks dealt direct with Marsha and I didn't see them. I missed most of the stations; I spent most of the week scrambling to gather up the $30,000 in prizes we give out, since I lost a few days there just before. Plus I wasn't much use on site anyway with one arm. Except drinking coffee; my extensive base with TS carried me through there.
The only down side is my colleagues are happy I broke my collar bone because you were all so much more useful than if I'd been there.
Thanks from Bike to Work Week
