Another option:

I have Neuvation wheels. They are cheap, tough and don't weigh a ton.

What's cracked, the rim? Maybe see if Brad can get a rim that matches the old one; i.e. holes and effective diameter (affects spoke length). Probably only worth doing if the spokes and the hub are in good shape, or maintainable with new bearings. I've gone through three rims on my dura ace 7700 rear hub with the same spokes.
If you don't want to bother, let me have them and I'll get them fixed for some junior.

Great minds think alike I had just replied to an email from Quentin stating this exact option. His most affordable option is to locate a Vista rim, and I can rebuild with same spokes. Usually the spokes are in great shape unless they were damaged in a crash, and are nicely seated into the hub at this point in the wheel's life. If a Vista rim isn't available, just need to know the ERD and find a rim that matches within a couple mm.Lister Farrar wrote:What's cracked, the rim? Most shops won't do this for you, since they don't know the history of the wheel and would prefer to use 'fresh' spokes, in order to back their work.
