I think I am in for Canada Day as well - I am chanting in my head as prep for the climb "I am a Whippet, I am a Whippet" I should be off the bike for a solid two weeks at that point - so I should be really well rested! See you Canada Day - I will be the guy sobbing quietly in the Coho line...

I know, but I had my daughter with me so I was not sure about abandoning her - luckily Michelle (Ryan's owner) was there to hang out while Ryan (mis)treated me like a rented mule  Given the results, all I can really say is 21 blooming seconds, that is all I needed and I would never have had to...

Everyone, Nuts, Peter beat me to it - I concur roundly with what Peter has posted - I went up hoping to help marshall, was registered to race and had a blast - that could not have happened without the time and effort of the team and volunteers - Thank you very much. I also, note that we neglected to...

Bill, I would be happy to help with the doctoring as well. I am more experienced with the delivery of newborns (Cyndi was in a hurry with Erin and there I was looking like Hawkeye Pierce hoping the boys wouldn't wake up and think I was killing their mother  ) than with simple stitch removal b...

Why don't we go with a 7:00 for 7:15 time at fairfield Starbucks and ride long with extra long holiday coffee at the end of the ride?

Oh, and HAPPY EASTER

Yep, why don't we do a Sunday style longer ride. Can we meet at Fairfield Starbucks at around 7:00 for a 7:15ish departure?

Also, how about Easter Monday? Anyone interested in doing the same thing?

Wait a second - You can clean bikes? How do you do that - more importantly, why would you do that when you can nip out and get a bright new bike when the old one is dirty  Congratulations to the Team showing up (and perhaps throwing up) at the Hill climb and defining the Club as a force to be c...

Actually Lister is a bit off the mark on his comment above. While he is correct that Peter would just be coming home from the first ride of the day - Peter is actually reviewing the forum and posting 'witty' comments while keeping his HR at 93% on the Trainer before hitting the Road for a pre-Triple...

Sunday Running Race

If anyone is heading up to the Merville 15k and would like a lift please let me know. I will likely be leaving around 7:30 Sunday morning and returning after I stuff my lungs back into my torso after the race. To those of you off for the Hill Climb have a great time (what is the emoticon symbol for ...

I am keen on a big ride on Easter Monday but why not do both :D

For the 19th I think we should plan the ride so that we arrive in Sooke at 10:15am (the Sooke River 10k starts at 11:00 and is the final race for the Island Road Race Series)

Anyone else in for this jaunt through Sooke? 8)

The bike looks interesting - too bad about the crash it must have had - it looks like the impact was so severe that it straightened out the handlebars

John, I do not know if that is such a good idea. To help with your decision making I happen to have an Specialized Allez Elite ('05? 62cm frame) that is fully winterized and ready to go to a good home - I have spoken to the bike and let it know that it was the road not the rider that destroyed your ...

I am also in - no one tell Cyndi  - I will just say that we did our normal ride but had 73 flat tyres and might have become disoriented from the emission of CO2 gas from inflating those tyres

Lister, That has to be the best emoticon I have ever seen - it is so real and lifelike - I see it and re-live my Tuesday experience.
