Re: Chain Waxing

I’ve been doing the hot wax chain thing for quite a few years off-and-on. Avoiding the debates of merits/demerits of wax as a chain treatment in general, I would say it’s fairly easy to know if it is worth a try: 1. Do you ride that specific bike primarily on road in dry/summer weather? 2. Are you t...

Re: Gravel ride "with friends" (but actually solo)

Hi Martin, some iPhone apps can use GPX files, either imported directly or through the web (like Strava, where you can only import routes on the web site but they can be viewed in the app). It would depend on what app you are using. Of course, most bike computers can use those files if they are impo...

Re: Friday Apr 3, Zwift and Coffee (all invited!)

As Martin mentioned, I have set up some virtual coffee shops for us on our Discord server. This is one way that we can still all socialize in real time and maintain our physical distancing! For Friday morning coffee, why don’t we all meet at our virtual Moka House Coffee? https://discord.gg/BCqcETy ...

Non-Bike Question about Kids Summer Programs and English Learning

Hey everyone, There is a good chance my older daughter (six years old) will be visiting Victoria for the summer, but her current English level is pretty low as she doesn’t use it where she has been for the past few years. I’m wondering if anyone here has heard of any summer programs (short programs ...

Re: Good Training Plans?

The Japanese haiku was seasoning cycling appropriate but does sound better in Japanese...
It translates to something like:
Turn to Spring,
I want to ride my bike
Is the way I feel

Good Training Plans?

Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for good sources for training plans for prepping for something like, perhaps, a national masters road race?

Bike box

Hi Nick,

I have a bike box you can use. It is a full size case that is fine on airplanes (but it is a bit unwieldy to haul around). My bike fits in there no problem and my frame is an old-school 63cm.

You can use it if you like.
