I was able to find a trainer tire at Oak bay Cycle before Christmas. No blowouts but actually had a tire start to melt (smell of burning rubber and tire turning to liquid) when the tire was slipping on the trainer. If you have a trainer, speed sensor, and cadence sensor there are at least a dozen platforms ofering virtual rides such as Zwift and FulGaz. A power meter or smart trainer is not needed for many.
