Rob Mulder does excellent work, it's worth a call just to get his opinion. Better still to take the bike to the shop in you're in N. Van. When he fixed my bike he told me it would be stonger than factory, and it's been A-OK since. A few years ago my Scott CR1 derailleur hanger snapped off, I emailed...

Re: VCL#2_Caleb_Pike#2

Just to add a comment, the "man in black" Jordy Landolt, is Kelly Landolt's son. Kelly is a former VCL B overall winner (2011). Apparently Jordy lapped the A field Sunday? Jordy only started racing in April, so perhaps the next Anika Todd; he's already been upgraded to Cat 2. The B winner,...

Green with yellow pinstriping, and chrome highlights. Set up as a single speed, with fully campy 80's vintage...

Re: Carbon rim braking problem?

Lister, here's the scoop from the Zipp site. Of course they recommend their own pads, my LBS did not carry, plus I heard they wear quick. I still think this guy had some mechanical issue... "From a data point of view, the braking of carbon rims is very specific to the manufacturer, so you will ...

Re: Carbon rim braking problem?

Lister, I doubt this has much to do with carbon rims. I succembed to my fantasies this summer and procured a set of Zipp 303 tubulars, which I ran with cork pads on DA 7800 calipers. I was quite prepared for compromised braking, and was surprised to find very little difference. I switch pads when I ...

Don't ask me why Duane put me in the results as a tripleshotter, now Peter will be chasing me for $$$. Maybe it will help the club get the "team" award!
