Re: March 14 - Big Terra Nova Clockwise Loop

Treats. Don’t forget treats.

Who is bringing the frothy milk? Somebody has gotta have one of those little battery operated spinner things?

Re: Friday, March 6 - Off-Road Bicycle Ride

Looks like a number of possible approaches. Don’t feel tied to Shelbourne to meet up with us. If we make it we will head to OBH. Or we might just head north.

Re: Friday, March 6 - Off-Road Bicycle Ride

Rolf I can't see your links. I love the idea of shelbourne to bow trail. Gets me an extra 30 minutes of sleep, which this week is REALLY needed. Considerably increases the likelihood I'll get out tomorrow :D

Re: March 14 - Big Terra Nova Clockwise Loop

Ron already knows this but just for everyone's purposes, I can't do the 15th since I'll be on my way up to the ski hill. It's the 14th or nothing for me so hoping we can stick to the original plan since I am 100% in for that day.

I might make it down to Cookbooks, depending on weather and sleep. If not, see y'all at the SB at 750.

Re: Sunday Church of Dirt

Definitely in. Will this route involve a SB pick up or do I have to haul myself down to Cook St? (which I will do with a smile on my face to ride such a great route with great peeps). I have a date with a gymnastics awards ceremony downtown about 1115. Methinks this will work with the timeline of th...

This all sounds great Ron and I’m really going to try and come. But what about ....tea? Or will I be relegated to bringing all my own supplies?

Going to bed early. Anyone willing to commit to a Friday CX ride before 10 pm?

That's about it. No offer of leading due to a badly rubbing back brake and a tired brain that would probably get y'all good and lost. But if that sounds okay, meet me at OBH - 6 am.

Re: March 14 - Big Terra Nova Clockwise Loop

I am interested in this Ron, depending on a bunch of other things falling into place and some rescheduling of regular activities. As you know, I had to last minute miss out on the first TN adventure so would love to finally get out there. Thanks for the big head's up.

Re: Sunday, Feb 16th - Double Chamois Ride

I won't be out tomorrow but there is a bermed downhill off Scafe (kind of Torpedo-like). I did it a few years ago on a MTB and have never had any luck finding it again (although I've tried). It is super fun! If you do find it, make sure you schedule a repeat.

Re: Fairfield Starbucks

I didn't intend for my comments to come across as self-serving to work better for my location in GH. I know I'm not the only TSer who doesn't live in FF or OB. I just think it is kinda silly to ride away from trails in order to ride trails and that is all I was trying to say - and with so many other...

Re: Fairfield Starbucks

Agree with John. I think Demitasse presents the same lack of outside space problem as Cook St. Mocha. The Marina is nicely away from residents so that noise would not be an issue early on a Sunday morning (like Mattick's farm). I can't think of a nicer place to start a ride from. And the parking lot...

Re: Fairfield Starbucks

Agreed Alan, on all accounts. Can totally see how Cook St Mocha would work. But is the F&F SBX really that far from the waterfront? Seems like it might be a bit more central for everyone too.

Re: May 2 - Ride for Water - Chilliwack

So we had pretty much decided that Greg would do Ride for Water and I'd do the Comox Valley gravel ride at the end of May but I have just finished reading "A Long Walk to Water" since our daughter's grade 5 class was reading it. Wow. What a hard hitting reality check of how fortunate we ar...

I also am a closet (or not so closeted) 80’s metal fan but I’m not sure the first ride back for my hand should involve pulling hard to get up the miserable regional trail nor smashing down Trillium. On another day though.

Musing other options if others are feeling the same.

Re: Wednesday, Feb. 5 - FarmCross in the Woods

Thanks for the concern and the fun ride on Weds. I did spend a few hours in emerg on Weds night (should have gone in the morning; the wait probably would have been less) and got an x-ray. Lucky for me no fractures and no instability - just a blunt impact trauma to that big muscle that joins your thu...

I'm super into that route. I actually need to do that sit in the saddle Leechtown ride for several reasons but right now I don't have the endurance to do it....few more weeks if you wanna do it again.
