MOMAR solo entry
For sale: solo Enduro entry for this years MOMAR up in Cumberland, 24 Sep 2022. Asking $200 (event is sold out) https://mindovermountain.com/momar/ It’s not 100% biking and not even 0.1% road (and probably not gravel-friendly either), but this is a pretty awesome event that I unfortunately will not ...

Roof rack to borrow
Does anyone have a bike carrier for roof rack we can borrow for a week? It must fit on fairly thick cross bars (ie not the round or square bars like standard Yakima or Thule cross bars). It’s for a standard skewer-wheeled cross bike so even an older one would work. Many thanks! Greg and Louise 250-8...

Well hell. I guess “Post of the Year” is locked up! .... As for competitive hopping, is it possible you could anchor a Triple Jump Relay at Paris 2024? Get well my friend. If not Post of the Year, he’ll definitely have an opportunity to get a leg up on winning the TS Xmas Party Dance Off! https://m...

Not-a-ride post
In keeping with TS direction, BC Cycling direction, impending provincial direction, One Direction , etc, this isn’t about any planned or pending gravel or cross rides. Instead it’s a thread of gif’s* to describe what just happened to 2020: https://media1.tenor.com/images/95923a56db08fb65378d239d04cf...

Tis true we'll join you,
Catching dirt in our teeth.
Should I die out there,
In my will, I bequeath
My bike to my kids
Who shall not fail
To join you next week
On the next muddy trail.

Friday 7 Feb
I plan on being at Oak Bay on my cross bike. After that, I might just go directly to coffee for a nap.
But if there are others, I may ride, daintily, thru the mud.

Re: Sunday Cx
There’s definitely a few sections where a snorkel and/or cable ferry would have come in handy. The normally-placid bubbling brook partway up Executive was applying for Class V rapids status. We went around the lake, which was mostly rideable; it may calm down by tomorrow of course. Hartland looked o...

Don’t worry Alan. We’ll be sure to stop at Royal Roads to soak up the aura of your alma mater. Besides the footage you provided from your marching sessions: I'm willing to fall in line with this plan.. https://media.giphy.com/media/sKUZKWpXdU4co/giphy.gif there’s also plenty of footage from your fie...

Sunday Plan B
Tho I’m interested in doing the Great Trail again too, I’m planning to stick to the lower country tomorrow. If anyone is interested, I’ll sweep by Switch Bridge at 0730, then rolling to Royal Roads, threading thru Thetis, cruising by Camouson, etc. https://media1.tenor.com/images/28a03f95883a5cbc0dd...

And as for riding at 7:30, 8:00, or even 6:00 am, http://media.giphy.com/media/9NVGSjg5q1T6U/giphy.gif Alas, L3 had forgotten the age-old adage “NEVER let your kids read the TS forum over your shoulder.” https://media1.tenor.com/images/8fb689deb54537e82b69c58a3fe96db9/tenor.gif?itemid=15746185

Re: Gravel Ride Planning
Good posts Rolf! For those a little intimidated/unsure of the mapping tools, strongly encourage the "old school" methods - share the general area you'll be exploring, try to make a mental map, then carry an app to figure it out as we go (someone may already know parts, of course) Part of t...
