Got rained out at lake Cowichan... did the big C (i.e. did not make it to Shirley)

Hi, thinking of doing the big loop tomorrow (counter clockwise), so I am a bit concerned about the road conditions around Shirley... anyone know what is up with the construction?

Admittedly only tangentially related to cycling, but I thought with 300 odd members there must be a sailor out there?

Hey Neil, I gather that you are the organizer for the big loop ride? Would it be ok if there was a group that took care of their own food and drink (cafe stops at shirley, port renfrew and lake cowichan) but took advantage of the broom wagon in case something goes afoul? If your significant other does not appreciate you drying your cycling shoes on the heater vents in the living room, bathroom, hallway, bedroom etc. I have a life hack that might be for you. You can hang your shoes from vents in the basement... kind of like mistletoe!

Driving in my CAR today westbound on hollywood and I lost traction on some wet leaves... for those hardy soles riding tomorrow, be careful out there.
