+1.

Lots of exciting racing and a great showing by our fellow Tripleshotters. Well done!

Also great to see plenty of TS'ers show up to watch and cheer on the crew.

Re: Let's show that TS supports the community!!!

Sarah, I signed up for the set up/tear down crew, but have since been offered up to Jon Watkin to help with registration, start times, results, etc. I may be able to do both, but won't be sure until I get an idea of Jon's plans. I've changed my status to tentative for now and will update it when I k...

Re: Minutes from May 5th Exec meeting

Personally, I think of Tripleshot like one big family and the forum is our kitchen table. I think we all benefit by hanging out and hearing what folks have to say out in the open, even if it's constructively critical now and again. But that may be just me. :) On a side note I prefer these sorts of ...

Did he not start for some reason?
Looks like he finished (49th at 17:56). Clearly had some sort of issue.

it gets up to 500 metres elevation and finishes with a 700 metre stretch at about 15%, a very steady ramp, very horrendous. +1. That last climb is nasty. http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=&daddr=&geocode=&hl=en&mra=mr&doflg=ptk&sll=48.53093,-123.56555&a...

Re: Input wanted. Change to Wednesday's Hills.

Here is a couple of routes that I've done on my own in the past. They'll be familiar to everyone as they involve roads that we pass on our regular rides. They're also circuits, which reduces the monotony a tad and also eliminates the need to do u-turns in intersections. More importantly, they're clo...

I love the alexi story. I like his unwavering belief that he can still compete. I've been following it as well. Great story. The brash, arrogant guy he was 25 years ago appears to be long gone, which is not surprising, given the tough times he's had since then. According to his schedule, his first ...

Re: young Dylan

I checked out the pothole while we were waiting for Dylan's mom. Small is not the word I would use to describe it. There is a lesson here and one that Peter has mentioned once or twice during his Friday pre-ride briefings. Avoid riding in the wheel tracks of cars as that seems to be where th...

Re: Pro News

Re the Lance effect on equipment, that idea makes me gag a little. Lister, I'm getting the impression you don't like the guy :) Admittedly, I'm not a big fan myself but I'm trying to be objective and not let my opinion of the person taint my argument. As Ryan alluded to, I think it's hard to deny t...

Re: Pro News

Regardless of our personal opinions on the guy, I think we can all agree that the Lance era (and to some extent, professional cycling in general) has benefitted us all in terms of equipment quality and availability. Without that, we might still be riding these things: http://www.wired.com/thisdayint...

Re: Western Speedway visit report

Here's a potential course I found on a karting site. The extra bits would make it a little more interesting and the accelerations out of that hairpin corner may help break up the big groups.
