Re: Home Trainer Setup

I'm a big fan of indoor training. I have a Wahoo Kickr that I use with Erg Videos and Zwift. Would be happy to give my 2 cents worth.

Re: Saturday sufferfest - the glorious resurrection

Just saw that Stéphane Tran is doing one of his big climbey rides tomorrow. If there is no interest for Jordan River, I will try to join that ride. Sorry if I said anything I said that might have suggested that there will be an end to summer, warmth or sunshine, Claire. Hope and sunshine springeth e...

Re: Climbing ride

I was hoping that there would be some interest in doing a Sufferfest ride to Jordan River, but so far there are no takers. If that doesn't pan out, I would like to join you. I will post again later tonight to confirm. Your Big Climbey Ride a while ago was one of my favourite rides of the year.

Re: Saturday sufferfest - the glorious resurrection

How about an End of Summer ride to Jordan River and back tomorrow (September 2nd)? Might be the last chance for a warm, sunny Sufferfest ride.

Great weather, great ride and great company! Thanks for organizing this, Stéphane. Should make this a semi-regular ride.

Re: Saturday sufferfest - the glorious resurrection

You're a true hardcore, Dave. I tried again at 9am with Oak Bay but tore off my rear derailleur. Going to try again at 2:30pm. Hopefully, third time lucky.

Re: Saturday sufferfest - the glorious resurrection

Looks like a low probability of precipitation on Saturday morning, so I'm in. I'm sure you'll hit 5 riders before the end of today.

Hot Damn! I've been looking forward to the Sufferfest for a long time. Thanks for getting the ball rolling on this, Claire.

Re: A Tripleshot Poem

What a wonderful experience to have such a beautiful and appreciative tribute delivered to us by a local poet. It more than makes up for all the ignorant epithets that have been hurled at us over the years. Thank you Dvora Levin for an unforgettable moment.

Re: Is Cycling Killing Us?

Great discussion -- I was hoping that there would be some in-house experts and people with personal experience on the matter and I wasn't disappointed! A special thanks to Craig, Barton, Brian and Marcus for their views. Two years ago I had never heard of atrial fibrillation in relation to long-term...

Is Cycling Killing Us?

Sufferfest Saturday August 15

This could be the last week to do the Sufferfest without needing lights.
Chris Marshall and I will be starting at Starbucks on Cook Street at 6:00am and plan to ride at 33+ kph depending on the turnout. Hope to see you there.

I'm registered to do it. It's my first time doing Whistler Gran Fondo, so I'm not totally sure how hard it will be, but I am aiming to break 3:40.
