Wanted SRAM GXP crank - 165mm 50/34

Apparently this is going to transform my riding (so says BBPhysio). Would like to give it a go without going all out with a new Red crank from eBay or Comp Cyclist...

165 mm 50/34 SRAM GXP crank wanted

After an engagingly high-tech 3-hour bike fit session with Barb of BBPhysio, one idea coming out of it was that I might benefit from shorter crank arms. I currently run the apparent industry default length of 172.5. I'm a SRAM-ophile and have GXP bottom brackets on my rigs. Would love to find Force ...

Expert sew-er for kit repair?

"Sew-er": my attempt at a gender neutral term for one skilled in sewing, spelled in a manner to avoid confusion with waste transmission pipes. OK, with that out out of the way, can anyone refer me to such a skilled individual, able to sew a fresh chamois on much-loved, rare and valuable cl...

Re: Race Games Idea

So, uh, has this happened yet? Sounds great - I vote for its inclusion in Friday rides - and with the numbers of B riders who are showing up (especially when the weather is fair) I agree with Martin's assessment that there's more than enough bodies for everyone to do their favourite type of pedaling.

Re: Dallas Road Time Trial--Volunteers Needed June 1

Hi Fozzy -

I'm available June 1 from 2:45 pm for about 4 hours. Are the marshals and organizers meeting on Dallas near Clover Point?

Cheers

Re: Tuesday morning Munn Road expedition

Hi Ann - Spectacular ride - not record breaking, but fun and incredibly beautiful. Did Munn, then Durrance Rd to Willis then turned around and did it in the opposite direction. A bit sketchy with morning commuters on a one-lane roller coaster road in a forest, but it just required some alert caution...

Tuesday morning Munn Road expedition

At a recreational pace, so Master's contenders need not apply - or you can just zoom by and I'll watch you defy gravity. Switch bridge at 6:30.

Cheers,

Re: Saturday sufferfest - the glorious resurrection

Hmmm... sounds like a "Big Loop Lite". Speaking of which, we saw you on the Big Loop 3 weeks ago (avec famille?) clearly itching for some pedal action but reduced to enjoying it vicariously from an internal combustion machine. Classic signs of endorphin addiction... If I did Jordan River I...

I'm in! Even though I think we should do it in the other direction (hardcore - no ferries!) Friday stat holiday ride?

Will there be a 7:30 "Sunday ride" on Friday the 11th in view of the stat holiday, or will it just be the usual 6am ride? Or both? (I vote for riding in daylight whenever we can!)

Re: Goldstream Heights Saturday Sept. 3?

Hi Steve - You're the first Tripleshotter to raise a hand. I've got 2, maybe 3 IRC guys wanting to do it, so it's safe to figure a group of 4 at least. Compromise start time: 06:30 at the corner of Clifford and Arnold in Fairfield. If that's not convenient we can meet you at the Uptown switch bridge...

Goldstream Heights Saturday Sept. 3?

I'm trying to train/prep/drag my sorry posterior up some climbs in anticipation of the too-rapidly-approaching Whistler GF Sept. 10. Was sorry to miss Barton`s Goldstream Heights extravaganza last week, and noted it almost duplicates the Whistler GF in distance and elevation. Will pretty much adopt ...

Update: divine intervention, with a message to moderate one's expectations. Spent most of today dealing with domestic emergencies, including a fridge that suddenly died. Restoring household order meant this ride window of opportunity slammed well and truly shut. Silver lining: I know there must be a...

Thursday. Big Loop. The hard(er) way - Malahat first.

Looking for an excuse to take a day off work Thursday? I figure the odds of having someone join me for this bit of [insert your thought here] are about the same as my winning the Powerball jackpot - and I don't have a ticket... 260+ km, starting up the Malahat. Need (free) storage for your bikes parts and tools?

This is actually a family heirloom (kinda) that began life as a durable secretary desk. It found a second life in my bike shed as a versatile storage unit that even has some horizontal work space when the desk/lid is down. I now have something considerably bigger as a consequence of the N+1 rule, so...
