Re: WANTED: Front suspension fork for gravel bike

Wait for the Lefty Oliver Carbon
https://cyclingmagazine.ca/gravel/canno ... pressions/

You also need to think about the axle size- most MTB forks are 15mm x 110mm thru axle, most gravel bikes are 12mm x 100mm.

Re: Where to get Repairs During Covid

Depends on what you mean doesn't fit: 1) It has the wrong freehub body- ie you have a Shimano cassette but an SRAM XD freehub. That needs either a new free hub or new cassette. Free hub is specific for the hub you have. 2) The cassette goes on, but it is loose. This means all the splines match up, b...

Re: Distancing when exercising (it's more than two metres)

That is if you don't sneeze or cough. According to recent research done at MIT, your cough will transmit droplets ~6m while your sneeze ~8m. If you want to buy one of these cameras to do your own research on snot rocket generated turbulent gas clouds while travelling at 30km/h, I can hook you up. It...

If you aren’t working or things are just tight and you run out of food, please don’t go to sleep with an empty stomach. Don’t be afraid or embarrassed to send me a private message, text, call. I will be more than happy to share what food I have. We will never speak about it again. I will drop and go...

For the 5 times a year I do the Sunday ride, I don't really care but wanted to point out a couple of things if you've never been to the marina cafe. Access to the cafe is via wooden stairs, concrete stairs or a concrete ramp. All you slippery plastic cleat wearing folk may have a tough time navigati...

Interesting, that's what they do in the Netherlands on back country roads. Richardson is BUSY and not the kind of street it would work on. Feedback sent.

Re: Air compressor for bike tires?

There is always a sale on at Canadian Tire. The larger the capacity, the more tires you can do without the pump turning back on in the midst of trying to seat your tubeless tires. I have a one gallon compressor, which sometimes I find limiting. There is also often on sale a schrader + presta inflato...

Re: Eco Underground parking for bikes

How does it handle unicycles?

Looks cool, but suspect there might be some local engineering hurdles. Doesn't look like they have built many (1/2 dozen?), but bleeding edge hasn't stopped the City of Victoria before. Is the lack of secure covered parking keeping people off their bikes?
