Re: Cross is Coming

Apologies to those who showed up this AM for a cross ride. My will power was sapped by the sound of the rain at 5:30- that and I don't have actual cross tires on my bike yet.

Re: Di2 or Manual?

If you have the dough, get Di2. Brent from VeloFix loves Di2 so much he switches his Di2 setup from his road bike to his cross bike for cross season.

Re: Rough coming home from Thursday TT

Speedy recovery Neil. I can't imagine how painful that must have been.

Alan- funny, I was riding this morning looking at the Cassels-Murray logo wondering why you took your wife's last name, or was some other relative the connection to the law firm? I figured you are just a modern kinda guy.

Notice how Claire actually rode up over the houses at the top of KGT? That's using your mountain biking skills! (your blue GPS trace doesn't follow the road)

Re: Down with that barbaric free-market capitalism!

I was taking bets on if Rolf or Alan would be first with a reply- on company time no less, so at least Claire wasn't the only one procrastinating. Here's a thought experiment, without capitalism and the profit motive, what would we be riding at 6AM? Sure, it was the military industrial complex that ...

Yes, getting lost going around in circles would be embarrassing. Alan Boden is the hero for picking up the bag.

Lost on SSS Ride

Hi All, Did anyone pick up my MEC baby blue water bladder backpack on the ride today? At around lap 80, I dropped it by the blue Honda Odyssey (thought it was one or ours since it had open food on the hood), When we finished, I still have a few laps to do to make it to 100. When I circled around, it...

Re: Wanted: Shimano-compatible wheelset

I'll give a +1 to ProBikeKit. If your package is stopped at customs, you will pay GST and they may add duty- factor that in. I did offer LBS $150 more for a wheelset than what my landed cost was buying from PBK, but they wouldn't budge much off of list price (for in stock in the store wheels that ar...
