Re: Sufferfest videos?
Lister, you should be able to get a two-week free trial when you load the app, and you'll get (temporary) access to the whole library. They don't sell individual videos any more - it's a subscription model, and one that has provided a lot of value for me. They keep adding new content and their train...

Old TS Kit: Free for kids, $shipping for the rest of you lot
Hey, all: When I moved away, I brought along an accretion of TS kit that my kids and I had collected over the years. I am trimming down my closet so I can make room for the kit of a Knight of Sufferlandria <buffs nails> (One must do *something* to stay sane during a Michigan winter, even if it's som...

That, sir, is a detestable and appalling lie.
It was all Simon's fault.
So, there.

I hope they find this person and press charges appropriate for harming a person with a 1000-kilo piece of metal. At speed. In the meantime, I love to hear of Megan's spirit and think she's more than earned one of these: https://images.sunfrogshirts.com/2015/09/21/Is-My-Bike-OK-Funny-Cycling-Shirt.jp...

Indeed. Outrageous.Claire wrote:Also, the winter solstice ride is traditionally (and mercifully) a shorter 100k (60 laps). One hundred miles in December would just be ludicrous.

Re: Why did YOU join Tripleshot?
This guy named Lister, a fellow Oak Bay Preschool parent, and I kept bumping into each other as our kids grew through Margaret Jenkins school. By 2010, I was deep into triathlon and every time I saw him, he suggested that I try riding with his Masters-oriented cycling club. I was askeered of group r...

I saw an article full of "might be" and "perhaps" and "we suspect." I saw nothing indicating, "a survey of larceny dockets over the last six months, compared to those from ten years ago, shows a significant (p <=0.05) increase in mentions of social media stalking a...

2. All the philosophizing reminds me of the time when over coffee (and regarding the Sunday ride) some new new guy asked when the Interurban sprint starts and Peter replied "There is no start, only a finish." Heh. I'll never forget riding the Sidney Time Trial for the first time*. ...

Maybe the optimal group size for any ride can be our next major topic. :) <sniff> I miss youse guys so much. On the matter above, I remind those who had the misfortune of riding with me of my favourite completely-made-up guideline: "If we're collectively bigger than a tractor-trailer, we're ...

Just to clarify: the "fair game if you fail to show" thing isn't an indiscriminate, anything-goes slag-a-rama. It's not simply about "if you don't show up"; it's about "if you should show up, but don't." This has me wondering, what happens if you do show up, but you sh...

See, that's EXACTLY the sort of thing Rolf was referring to when he said your posts reminded him of Kate's....simultaneously complimentary and insulting. Found: tailgate/trunk bike carrier from Thurs PM - Sat PM
(Thanks, guys, all set now) Hi, all: I'm coming into town for my daughter's graduation this weekend and have rented roadies for my mom and myself from OBB. Does anyone have a rack we could stick on the back of our rental car for the weekend? We'd pick it up late Thursday afternoon and drop it off Sa...
