Re: Polarized training and ride etiquette

This isn’t new. Peter set up the weekly routine wisely: sprint days, hill days, and others steady and not too hard on the hills. I recall Barton organizing rides to be more deliberately slow and steady. As usual, the wisdom is right in front of us. :). Agreed - the weekly TSC ride schedule wasn't d...

Hi Geoff...might I suggest giving Lister a call to see if they'd fit some of the bigger kids in the youth program?

Just a thought.

Re: Opinion: Cross rides should start at switch bridge

Opinion 2: Road rides should also start at switch bridge. You can urinate in public at the switch bridge and nobody will get angry. Not to focus on public urination per se , and yes I know Roland was (hopefully) being facetious, but is worth mentioning that we now meet at OBH precisely because we w...

There was a time when members who completed silly cycling-related feats of strength and determination claimed "gloating points". I think it might be time to re-instate the practice. 100 gloating points to each of you!

Nice work Martin!

I'm sure you also took the time to remind the rest of the A riders that if they choose to continue to riding with us that they should order some TSC kit.

Re: Hour of Power - results / records

My UVic lectures are apparently sometimes referred by my students as being an "Hour of Dower", but I guess that's a different thing. That said, I do speak very fast - a mile a minute supposedly. And it does take place within the Ring Road after all.

Re: Tripleshot Code of Conduct

Has the ethos of Tripleshot, which I admire, become a formality? Hi Marcus; Quite the opposite, in fact. Rather than being merely a formality - an implicit assumption upon joining the club - agreeing to the TSC ethos has now become a rock-solid requirement of anyone who wants to ride with us. As on...

Ring Road paving June 29-30

For anyone planning on riding the Ring Road next week there will be paving work going on around Parking Lot C (just past the library) from 7:30am on June 29th to 5:00pm on June 30th. During work on Parking Lot C, Ring Road will be open but reduced to one lane. During the work on the Ring Road itself...

Re: Looking for input on weight loss from riding.

Hi Rob...I share your pain - sort of. Hi all, So one of the unintended consequences of not riding these past couple months is that I’ve gone from a large number of lbs to an even larger number of lbs. I thought I had levelled out at that very large number - a weight that I really hoped would...
