Sylvan, I'll take a pair if they're not too difficult to procure.

Re: Caleb June 23

My first race report! Hopefully this goes better than my first race... Well, let's chalk that one up to a learning experience. That way I can sound positive and nonchalant when in reality there were a few times I actually envisioned crossing the finish line and pitching my bike into the bushes (I ge...

Where at Windsor park are we meeting? Judging from how things went tonight, I need some cornering practice...

Spare jersey?

Hey everyone,
Racing for my first time this week at Caleb Pike. As exciting as that is, it would be even more exciting if I could race in the blue and argyle. Anyone got a spare M jersey I could borrow for the evening? Post-race beer is on me in return for the favour.

Cheers,
Ian

Re: Awesome fundraising idea, need bike stands

Andrea,
I have one as well that I would be more than happy to lend for the day. My cell is 250 588 0983. Don't call tomorrow as I'm in a first aid course all day, but any weekday this week will be fine!
And yes, I'm curious to hear about this fundraiser as well! Perhaps post more details?

Re: Tues June 8th

I have to echo what has been said about the second A group. Really fun, still got a great workout in, etc. Similar to what others have said, both today and in the past, it seems like we (myself included!) get too involved with going fast and forget a few basic safety things: - the car door incident ...

Opening doors...

Had an incident this morning on Hollywood Cres where a guy opened his car door right in front of the group. In case anyone's interested, the law is a bit vague but seems to be on our side

Section 203(1)

Although that may be small comfort when you're lying on the road wondering what happened...

Re: How long before you raced?

Awesome, thanks for the advice so far. Finally, I always get worried when I see a rider turning his head to look to the sides or to look back. How come? Just a heightened awareness that the rider might make a sudden maneuver?? Or something else? I started riding in a group with tripleshot in early s...

How long before you raced?

I'm hoping to draw from the experience of some of our veteran TSers. How long did you train in a group before your first race? Or does it depend more on skill level/speed? Attitude? I'm hoping to race this summer but I'm hoping to do so in a way that won't a) endanger anyone else in the race b) emba...

Re: Gavin rocks at Bastion Square

Lookin good, Gavin. Now there's only two questions:

Referring to THIS handy guide,
1) Would that victory salute fall under #1, #12, or #26?
2) What is the next salute you will begin practicing?? I think #15 is pretty stylish... :P

Re: extra jersey's

As far as I can tell it is. When I select an item from the drop-down menu, the "Add Item" button is disabled. Plus from what I read in this thread, the order closed last Monday :(
