Re: Wanted: Cross/Commuter bicycle or frame
Hi Noah, I have a bike that might work for you. It's a chromoly steel mountain bike frame rather than a cross bike, but it's bombproof and ready to ride. I had it built up this past summer for a bike trip and it performed admirably. I could use the extra shed space at this point though. I can throw ...

SOLD - 2012 Norco Revolver 2 XC Mountain Bike
*SOLD* Ready to tackle more gnarly (and fun) terrain than your cyclocross bike will safely handle? Yes, you know you are. This bike is an XC race bike but it's totally capable on Vancouver Island's technical singletrack. The bike climbs super well with its fairly aggressive geometry and 29...

Hey Lister, I also have a Kurt Kinetic fluid trainer which I'm not currently using and I'm happy to lend out. I also have a Kona hard tail with v-brakes that is currently at Josh E's place. I think it currently has flat pedals on it. If you're interested I could arrange to get it back this weekend. ...

You inspired me to give it another go; I dug deep and did it in 40:58. I had to whimper home in my small chain ring after that.

I went from the gate to the garbage can beside the rock wall and back to the gate. If you do it before noon there's no vehicle traffic!

A Yukon News photographer captured a perfect moment in a big mountain bike race in Whitehorse last weekend: http://www.yukon-news.com/media/images/2014/august/25/mountainbike1.jpg It was an enduro race, so I suppose that's what happens when you try to race downhill (never mind the fact that he was o...

Re: The big "Twerk Talk"...
The problem is, by the time the New York Times has covered something such as twerking it's already passé and your kids have moved on to something else. If you want to ensure their discomfort better to just blast "We Can't Stop" and sing along as you drive them to school. Bonus points for d...

My guess is King George Terrace. It's the only climb around here with a left turn followed by two right turns, all at about 90 degrees.

Re: On the Magical Mailbox
For me (and I learned it from other A riders) the finish line is a blend of the Kate and Rolf perspectives: the funny line in the asphalt! The mailbox helps because you can see it up the road, signalling that the pain is almost over (for now). To be honest I never noticed the driveway. Sorry, Rolf. ...

Road rider wanted for Comox Valley Snow to Surf
I know some people who are looking for a cyclist for the 30 km road portion of the Comox Valley Snow to Surf relay race. It's Sunday, April 28 and accommodation is paid for. I believe the people are with Team Cona Hostel. I'd do it but I have a commitment that weekend. Website is here: http://www.sn...

Another great read from Alan Cassels
Our resident drug policy expert Alan Cassels has a new article in next month's issue of Focus Magazine. He writes real good. I'm glad to get some more information on this issue from someone like Alan. From my perspective it is a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma. I hope we hear more from ...

Don't listen to the haters. The baby blues are appropriate all year round and that driver's jealousy is so transparent. I have a similar tale of woe from my last bike trip. When stopped at a gas station in Eureka, CA a good ol’ boy suggested I should take a picture of myself (dressed in my baby blue...

Maybe he would drop the price since it's missing a wheel.Carbon framed, 2012 Rocky Mountain Element Tricycle. Size medium. In excellent condition, except I think one of the back wheels has fallen off. Still rideable with only 2 wheels though.

Not as far as I know, but my guess is that it's the Prospect Lake loop some of us were doing in the summer. Ride up Interruban, around Prospect Lake and Elk Lake to Sayward, then waterfront. It's pretty fun! But probably less so in the dark and wet...Stéphane Tran wrote:Is there a regular Thursday ride now?
