Winter Bike Stolen

Hello TS Yesterday my trusty winter bike was stolen from inside the loby of a building at 620 View Street. It was my fault, as I didn't lock it up. Ironically I was picking up a prize for my wife from the Bike to Work Week office on the 5th floor. When I got into the building I realized that my bike...

Wanted-CX Bike- 26" Wheel or Size Small 700

Help!! I am currently N-1, a situation that makes me a little anxious.

Looking for a CX bike for my 12 year old. A 26" wheel would work as would a size XS or S, 700 wheel, depending on the make.

Thanks for your assistance in establishing bicycle equilibrium within the Reeves household.

WANTED- Left Brake Lever for Front Brake

My left brake lever got snapped in a crash at the CX race in Qualicum on Sunday. If anyone has a left lever (front brake) that is sitting in their used parts bin, I would be happy to buy it. I don't want to invest in a brand new set as this is the last year for my current CX steed.

Cheers,

Dylan

Where did you hear that there is no CX? Location generally doesn't go out until this evening. Keep calm.....

Re: TS Tuesday B1 /A2

Didn't mean to offend, nor sound rude, Julie. I was just trying to point out that second wheel onto Henderson initiates the rotation so that we get the group in synch again after singling up. It will not always mean that you do a double pull. No need to hammer, just get the flow going. Once again, so...

Re: Fender reminder

1. Buy some quick strap on fenders for cheap. Once you get them set up they take less that 5 minutes to install forever thereafter.

or

2. Stay at the back of the pack on rainy days with no fenders. Don't pull through.

Train in Girona Spain this year

Greetings TS'ers As you begin to plan your cycling adventures for 2016 and beyond, I thought you may be interested in a great place to stay in Spain. My cousin Tomás has a home in the town of Pedret i Marzá, in the province of Girona (Gerona). https://www.google.ca/maps/place/17493+Marz%C3%A0,+Giron...

Re: Blowing the Stop Sign on Mt Doug x rd and Blenkinsop

Great except for the fact that the non-sprint laps are supposed to be recovery. Depends on how you ride the loops. If you pick it up around the golf course and keep the tempo way up on the sprint laps, you are going to want a rest lap so that you can recover and put in a strong effort on the designa...

Re: Blowing the Stop Sign on Mt Doug x rd and Blenkinsop

Josh, I was in that group a bit further back and saw it all clearly. Thankfully it was you in that car. I don't know what the guys in the front were thinking. There are no cycling scouts on route looking for 35-75 year old talent (For everyone's information). At this point, Strava is pretty much max...

Rolf, that is not one of our jerseys. We're not the only ones who got caught up in the Easter Egg spandex craze of 2008-2009. There was at least one other person and he/she is in the video.

Re: Resurrection of Saturday Hammerfest

Fantastic ride last week, Ten + riders most of the time. Come one, come all but be ready to make your way home alone if you don't gage your efforts and take measures to stay on! Friendly but firm.

See you at SB 6AM departure.

April 25-Hammerfest

Leaving Cook St. Starbucks at 6 am. The goal is to get around the peninsula as fast as we can with everyone working together. Last week we averaged 33 kms from Starbucks to the Interurban sprint. If you do come, and you can't pull through, you need to be able to sit on the back and act as doorman. I...

Resurrection of Saturday Hammerfest

For those who have done this ride in the past, they know that it is a great way to get in around 90kms before 9 am. It is on the website so it must exist! Meet at Cook St. Starbucks and leave at 6 am sharp. Peninsula ride counter clockwise. Rolling pace line. This is not a Sunday ride. Good for anyo...
