Re: Shimano carbon shoes - 48
Hey Gavin
I'm out of the country for a few more days but am keen on these - I'm usually a size 13 or 14 - is that about the same as a 48?
Thanks

We're not alone!
Apparently we are not alone in getting up ridiculously early and training. They even say " No one gets left behind".

Re: Icy this morning
I got "Dropped" by the A's over Ash as I was too scared to try and keep up with them. I ended up taking 45 minutes to get from there to Bay street and have a nice raspberry on my left hip for my efforts. Golden rule - ice on my car in the morning means its not going to be safe to ride, sho...

Re: Going long on Sunday, November 6th
It's 7:30 Saturday night and no clear decision has been made, many people likely won't have checked the forum. We should leave at the regular time (7:20 but roll at 7:30 as every Sunday has). Start making plans for the nov 11 ride for those interested in a long early ride.
My 2 cents

Peter,
What happened to the men of winter and our gloating points? It wasn't even raining by the time I got home.

Re: Nanaimo TTT 21 Aug - Call for Teams and Volunteers
Hi guys,
I'm on vacation in Oregon as of tomorrow but the word from the head of household is that we may be back in time for the time trial. If I make it back in time, I will volunteer as I have yet to do any this year.

How he finished the race after that crash is beyond me, although I can't possibly imagine him not abandoning tomorrow. Apparently, he got on his bike, finished the race, shed tears on the podium for getting both KOM and most aggressive rider, gave interviews and then went to the hospital.

Re: Saturday Mountain Madness
I'm in too and Rick is in as well. Too bad we have to have two separate Saturday rides, I would suggest that we could meet at Douglas Starbucks and contemplate Munns, Finlayson Arm and Willis Point if the objective was to get some climbing and miles in. This would allow those who have to be back at ...

"Roland commented that the A ride has slowed noticeably since March. Maybe a few others are cooked too?" We averaged 39kmh according to my Garmin from Caddy Bay to the start of Beacon Hill Park... There must be an infusion of new blood ramping up the pace. With respect to rest and recovery...

Anyways, the guys are happy to have any of you come along, they have a support vehicle go over to carry your stuff and food waitin...
