I am a pretty big fan of the WTB Resolute 700x42. Roll surprisingly fast on pavement and knobby enough to offer "some' purchase in mud.
Kind of an all-rounder. No huge weaknesses that I have noticed relative to some other tires I have ridden

Re: Safety reminder when you see horses
If you approach from behind particularly on narrow roads and trails you need to alert horse and rider to your approach from a decent distance. Bikes are very quiet so there is a possibility of really surprising human, animal or both. Ring your bell, call out politely, whistle, cough or whatever it t...

Re: Road Safety - how do we maximize it?
I like your advertisement idea James. Seems like this would be right up the alley of Capital Bike and something that they as a non-profit could even apply for funding to do. TS could support something like that? More broadly it is frustrating to hear of clear hit and run cases with zero follow up by...

Re: Should the Tripleshot forum be taken private?
I voted for the status quo.. But it is a pretty soft vote. I don't discount the privacy benefit of a closed forum. Although as others have pointed out with 300 members some discretion is still needed in posting even to a "private" forum. I did read some forum posts before joining and it di...

Re: Weekly cx/gravel routes (solo/bubble) for month of April
Looks like a great route. I'll see if I can make it happen this week.
One question - That cut-through at the end of Excelsior Road. Is that legitimate? I have taken it a couple of times and it always feels like I am biking through someone's back yard....
