Re: Spond Puts Events in my Google Calendar

I have found a solution (I hope) to Spond putting events in my Google calendar. There is an option (Calendar Settings) in my profile in the Spond app. It is not available on the web site. In that option, there is an Events section. In that section you can choose to synchronize accepted and/or unansw...

Spond Puts Events in my Google Calendar

Does anyone know how to stop Spond populating my calendar with an event for every ride I can see in Spond? Somehow I have recently set this in motion but I can't find how to turn it off. Is it a Spond or a calendar thing? Help! My calendar is cluttered with events I don't need to see. Thanks in adva...

Re: Vancouver Triple Crown in September?

It looks like my possible days are September 6, 7, 19, 20, and 21. I travel free as a passenger on those days so only have to pay for the car. The most economical car options are on the 7th, 20th and 21st. I'd propose to go out on the 8:00 AM from Swartz Bay and return on the 6:00 PM from Tsawwassen...

Vancouver Triple Crown in September?

I'm wondering about doing the Vancouver Triple Crown (Seymour, Grouse and Cypress Bowl) on a midweek day trip in September. Anyone interested in joining me? I would go over by car and have room for another bike and rider (assuming my wife brings a friend to pass the time while I'm riding). Likely 8:...

A bucket list trip - French Alps Cols

This is a request for any advice and guidance you can give for a trip to climb the big cols in the French Alps. If anyone has experience on trips to that area I would be grateful for any input. COVID permitting, I would like to go late August or early September 2021. We'll see how vaccinations and t...

Re: "free" Zwift alternative.

RGT has a free limited option. You can ride on your own (seeing other riders but no chatting) in animated real world places (e.g., Passo Stelvio, Cap Fomentor, Paterberg loop, Canary Wharf in London). Paid site lets you upload routes and ride with others. BTW, Fulgaz has videos of just about every G...

Re: 3 Ferry Ride - I'm jealous but hopeful

Unfortunately, August 9th is the day I arrive back from seeing my son in Calgary.i hope you have a great ride. I always enjoy it no matter the weather. From August 10th, I would be willing to organize a midweek alternative 3 ferries, especially for us older folk. The only cost for that is $2 for you...
